Paint / Panel Beater Apprenticeship

Paint includes the prep and application of foundation materials and topcoat, paint systems, paint equipment and effect paints. Panel includes the removal, repair and refitting of panels and components, welding, panel beating, dent removal and both include Vehicle Damage Assessments.

Most of your 3-year apprenticeship will be on the job training based at our centre with one of our Bodyshop Technicians as your mentor. A BMW representative will also visit you on a 12 weekly basis to set performance targets and study sessions will be offsite at a centralised body training facility in Milton Keynes. The centre is equipped with BMW Cars and ColourSystems to ensure that we train you to the highest level.

On successful completion of the Apprenticeship your salary will be in line with our certified BMW Painters/ Panel Beaters, plus Bonus opportunities.

Hours: 45 hours a week Monday – Friday

On successful completion of the Apprenticeship, the qualifications attained will be:

• IMI Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair (Body or Paint) Principles (VRQ)
• IMI Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair (Body or Paint) Competence (VCQ)
• IMI Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair (Body or Paint) Principles (VRQ)
• IMI Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair (Body or Paint) Competence (VCQ)
